Enhanced Page Tab
This plugin is an enhancement to the standard TXP Page templates tab to give you:
- an indication which sections are using the current page template (i.e. the ones that are greyed out)
- the ability to assign the current page to a new section (select one of the non-greyed out sections &...
Overrides the default language for specific sections
This plugin allows you to globally override the default language of your Textpattern installation for some specific sections. You can use any installed language for any section, but you can only use one language per section.
Author bio/profile section plus glue to continue using built-in author functionality
Link author names to a section containing an article per author, much like
bos_author, but also provides some extra behind-the-scenes glue between author sections and article searches by author name.
Section hierarchy, section menu and breadcrumb trail
Once installed and activated, you’ll get:
- a new tab under Presentation, to set up the hierarchy
- two new tags:
<txp:adi_menu />to output the section menu markup
<txp:adi_menu_breadcrumb />to output a breadcrumb trail
adds accordion effect to section list in admin area
Adaptable 2-Level Navigation-Menu with Highlighting
This plugin tries to accomplish the following:
- Building a 2-Level Navigation-Menue using a single TXP-tag.
- 1st Level should consist of sections, 2nd level of categories
- Keep the 2nd level adaptable, meaning it’s contents should be controllable from users without access to...
Display information about your Textpattern sections
The tsw_sec_list plugin is a simple plugin to display information about the sections defined in your Textpattern system.
tsw_sec_list allows you to display each section name or title as a hyperlink with a corresponding hyperlinked image, or any combination of the two. If you just want a listing of each section, you can do that. If you...
An advanced (but easy to use) tagging plugin, originally based on ran_tags, but with many improvements, bugfixes, and security enhancements. It has the usual tagging features (listing tags for an article, tag clouds, listing articles for a tag), and it allows you to use standard Textpattern conventions like wraptag / break / class. It is smart about future-dated and “draft” articles, and doesn’t show tags from them. It has clean URL support without modifying .htaccess. It includes tags in RSS / Atom feeds. It shows tags on the admin-side when writing/editing articles. It has admin-side tag maintenance and redirection features.
XOR Section Tools
The XOR SectionTools plugin for TextPattern features several powerful tools for handling sections and categories within sections. For instance, article counting for a section, from anywhere, as well as category listings for a specific section, only counting those that actually have posts in them are some of the...
Display a notice if a section has been updated
I created this plugin for a class website with a section that does not often get updates. I wanted the students to know when I added a tip to the tips section. swf_section_updated will check to see if a section has been updated in the past ‘n’ days. If the section has been updated, a message will be...
Section driven meta-data, meta keywords, meta description
This plugin is for textpattern sites that are driven by sections. In order to use this you must take the oldest article of the section and use the ‘custom 1’ as your list of keywords and the ‘Excerpt’ textbox as a meta description. Now just call the following in thetags:
Section renaming and management pluginSection renaming and management plugin
Textpattern names sections in a rather simplistic way and has no ability to add meta information such as link titles, ids, or descriptions. Also, since it names sections based on disk directories, it needs a way to associate a more human readable name with a given section.
Default Section PermaLinks
I need to generate matching permalinks for my TextPattern installation. This is just a bit tricky – the standard txp:permlink tag is handled by the doPermlink routine in publish.php not the standard TextPattern parse routine.

This plugin creates a link back to the current section, without needing to know what section it’s being called from. For example, I have a section of my site that is largely independent of the rest. For the title, I wished it’s “homing” function to go back to the section top, rather than the site top. Ergo,...
This plugin modifies the sectional context for an enclosed block of code. This was an experimental sort of plugin at the time, and likely if you find you think you need this plugin, you might want to rethink how you are going about everything. Still, it’s included for completeness. Don’t say you weren’t warned! ;-)
