ats_master_category_list

This humble plugin consists of a small change to the standard category_list function that allows it to optionally display only master or top-level categories (ie, it excludes subcategories). It’s really just a temporary measure until better display methods are produced, but it works for now to keep the clutter of sub-categories from, for example, the front page of a site.

Doesn’t Work :(
That doesn’t help much. Which version of Txp are you using, and how are you using the plugin? I wrote this a long time back, and although it’s still working for me, I’m not running the newest dev release. Give me a few details, and I’ll take a look.
The current version of the plugin, 0.2, should now work just fine with current dev rc3 versions of Textpattern. It can now be used as a drop-in replacement for txp:category_list, as it now has a flag for turning the root-level category restriction on or off, and it includes standard wrap and break tags.
