“form” and “listform” attributes are normally associated with article tags. The “article” tag will accept both attributes, and will select which form will be used to display article information based on the system`s mode.

Textpattern`s article display mode is either “single article”, or “article list”.

Single Article

When a hyperlink to a specific article is activated, Textpattern will display that article by itself; this context is recognized by the “article” tag and the form defined with the “form” attribute is used for display.

Article List

When category or section search is done, Textpattern returns a list of articles according to the search criteria; this context is recognized by the “article” tag and the form defined with the “listform” attribute is used for display
