atb_image_pulldown is a simple plugin that replaces the Article Image text box with a pulldown list showing all images in order by category and name. This should make it fairly easy to assign article images, assuming you use well-chosen names for images and categories.

There’s no configuration unless you’re using another plugin to enable multiple article images, then there are some options in the plugin code to replace the pulldown list with a multi-select list box.
