This plug-in implements a single tag (mta_article_id) which is intended as a replacement for the built-in article_id tag in and is used to return the numeric “ID” or, optionally, the “URL title” (as would be seen if “Clean URLs” are turned on) of the article being displayed.

Syntax

The mta_article_id tag has the following syntactic structure:

<txp:mta_article_id />

Attributes

The mta_article_id tag will accept the following attribute (note: attributes are case sensitive):

url_title=“integer”

When set to 1, returns the “URL title” of the article instead of the numerical “ID”. Available values: 1 or 0 (default).
